Chemathon
The Chemathon is an annual chemistry competition for high school chemistry
students in Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
The Chemathon competition is organized by a committee of area high school
chemistry teachers and chemists, and is hosted by the Department of
Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Maryland at College
Park.
Intel Science
Talent Search Micro-processor giant Intel is the sponsor of this
nationwide competition—America’s oldest and most highly regarded
precollege science contest.
Intel International
Science and Engineering Fair The Intel International Science and
Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) is the Olympics, the World Cup and the World
Series of science competitions.
The Junior Science
and Humanities Symposium- caters to students conducting original
research investigation in the sciences, and is a symposium that is sponsored
by universities or other academic institutions.

George's County Area Science Fair A regional fair that showcases
