Reacts Mission Statement
The REACTS Network's purpose is multifaceted. It was established to:
1. Create and maintain
a statewide network of chemistry educators, secondary and post-secondary,
for the purpose of improving chemistry education in Maryland.
2. Compile and make available resources for chemistry educators in the
state and to enhance professional development of chemistry instructors
as well as educational opportunities for students, including:
- conferences and workshops
- guest speakers
- lesson and laboratory ideas
- field trips
3. Organize a professional development program to promote communication among Maryland chemistry teachers and to provide information and support for methodologies of chemistry instruction.
