Educational Resources: Mini-lesson samples and experiment demos

Membership has its benefits. Being a member of REACTS affords you the opportunity to access a vast database of lessons and experiments that you could use "as is" inside the classroom. You can also alter these demos as you feel necessary to match the unique needs and resources of your classroom.

SAMPLE EXPERIMENTS

We have developed experiments designed for different types of high school chemistry labs. On one end, we assume the laboratory is equipped with chemical glassware, including burettes, scales, and actual chemicals. On the other end, we assume the classroom only has access to household goods, such as measuring cups, vinegar, baking soda, and thermometers. There is also an in between level which is a compromise between the two. Generally, the experiments get more difficult with the more complex equipment.
