RESPONSIBILITIES:   The incumbent will be a direct report to the Associate Chair of Graduate programs and will be responsible for the coordination of all activities of the Graduate Program Office.  This includes management of the day-to-day operations of the office, serving as the primary source of information regarding admission and program requirements.  Works with program faculty to develop and implement marketing methods for the recruitment of new graduate students.   Works with program faculty to develop and implement mentoring and advising methods for the successful retention of graduate students, this includes new student orientation and graduate handbook publications, training of graduate advisors and the recruitment and training of graduate student mentors.    Collects and extracts graduate studies office data and information and ensures that all stakeholders have current and accurate data.   Collects and disseminates information about funding opportunities for students within the graduate programs.  In collaboration with faculty members will assist with proposal development and administration of external training grants.
