On behalf of the Organizing Committee it is our pleasure to cordially invite you to participate in "Calix 2007", the 9th International Conference on Calixarene Chemistry to be held next summer (August 6-9, 2007) at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. This conference has been previously held in the Germany, Japan, USA, Italy Australia, Netherlands, Canada and Czech Republic.We are confident that our campus setting at the University of Maryland – close to the attractions of Washington, DC – will enable productive scientific and social interactions. We intend "Calix 2007" to encompass the broad scope and interdisciplinary nature of the field. One goal is to bring together those interested in different aspects of calixarene, molecular recognition and supramolecular chemistry. We hope that new research directions and collaborations will result from an exchange of expertise and ideas.
