Faculty Position in Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in our Chemistry and Biochemistry Programs. The Programs are responsible for the chemical and biochemical education of students in chemistry, biological sciences and engineering. Annual enrollments are more than 3000 students. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be teaching and coordination of the undergraduate physical chemistry laboratory courses, including supervising teaching assistants as well as providing the associated laboratory lecture. Additional duties may include advising undergraduates, course development, and other instructional duties as required. A Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related disciplines is required. Start summer or fall 2010. This is a renewable 12-month, non-tenured position with a history of continuity.
