REACTS will not be held this coming January.
Instead we are encouraging teachers to attend the August 16-17, 2009 American Chemical Society High School Teachers Program at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC. REACTS Chair Elena Pisciotta is organizing the event. The first 40 who register and then attend the polymer workshop on Monday will get their registration fee paid for. Please note the safety training workshop on Monday afternoon.

REACTS 2009

REACTS was held on Friday, January 9, in the Chemistry Building at the University of Maryland

Dr. Ross Salawitch spoke on "The Global Carbon Cycle, Climate Change, and Renewable Energy". Dr. Salawitch is a Professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and the Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center at the University of Maryland. His research is focused on quantification of human activity on atmospheric composition.
