Research Interests

Synthesis of carotenoids and their metabolites. Isolation and characterization of carotenoids and their metabolites from natural products and human serum/tissues. Bioavailability and metabolic studies with carotenoids in humans and animals. Antioxidant mechanism of action of carotenoids and their metabolites in disease prevention. Human and animal studies with carotenoids in the prevention of age-related macular degeneration.
