Alpha Chi Sigma

University of Maryland Alpha Rho Chapter: Alpha Chi Sigma is the only professional chemistry fraternity in existence. Founded December 11, 1902 at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Alpha Chi Sigma has since grown to fifty-three thousand members nationally. We are a coeducational fraternity, bringing together men and women to support the fraternity’s three primary objects:

• To bind its members with a tie of true and lasting
  friendship.
• To strive for the advancement of chemistry both as a
  science and as a profession.
• To aid its members by every honorable means in the
  attainment of their ambitions as chemists throughout their mortal lives.
