Graduate Program

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Maryland offers graduate study and research that leads to a Doctoral (PhD) degree in Biochemistry or Chemistry. Students are admitted either to the PhD program in Biochemistry or the PhD program in Chemistry and receive financial support through teaching and or research assistantships.
